Multimedia installation,
computer driven slide projectors, sound
At the occasion of the 50th commemoration day after Nazi dictatorship on 8 May 1995, photographs of the morning mid-day and evening sky were taken from participants worldwide. Contacted via friends of friends and Goethe institutes worldwide people contributed their photos to create that very poetic view into the sky.
The German participant remembered the blue sky when the American troops came into his home village that day 50 years ago – for him it was a sign of peace and hope for the future.
The sky photos in the multimedia installation displayed the sky of one day around the world: From sunrise in Caracas to the beautiful night sky, the midnight sun, in the Polar Circle.
